Introduction

Hi, my name is Ashley and I am a senior at Michigan State University. My two majors are child development and language arts. I am very excited to get through the next two years so that I can start my own career as a teacher. I am interested in learning about diverse literature because I think that it is important to be knowledgeable about the topic. Schools are very diverse these days and I want to be able to satisfy every child in my classroom. I want to make my curriculum anti-bias in the best ways I know how and the only way that I can become aware of these things are to be taught. I am looking forward to finding out new ways in which to do this and new books to include in my classroom in order to do this.
